«The Berggruen Museum houses one of the world's most importan collections of classic Modernist art. The main focus of the collection is the work of Picasso, represented by some ninety pieces, as the culmination of Modernism. In the words of the colledtor Heinz Berggruen, Picasso represents the «great symphony» in twentieth-centruy art. Also in the collection are over fifty works by Paul Klee, the «master of chamber music» and one of Berggruen's first passions.
