«This course is designed for people at the early stages of language learning who need to use English in a business or professional situation. The syllabus focuses on key structures and functions which learners need for business, enabling them to communicate accurately at an early stage of the course. There are 32 main units and four project units which help develop good learning strategies and increase learner confidence. These include: «learning tips» on how to study more effectively; «self-evaluation» activities to help learners monitor their progress and increase motivation; and the use of «language tactics» to build confidence by helping learners control situations where English is spoken. The course is flexible as it can be used sequentially or as free standing units. Each unit is colour-coded according to its main language focus, making the material accessible and easy to use.
